GIS Day provides a forum for users of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in Henrico County.

Join us for presentations and exhibits from Henrico County employees as they share their unique maps and mapping applications. Learn how other departments are utilizing GIS to assist in their daily job duties. There will be a map contest (see details below), candy and cupcakes!

GIS Day Map Contest

Think you can draw a map like Gerard Mercator? Enter the GIS Map Contest to show off your work and the chance to win prizes. Any map can be submitted, just print it out and bring it to the GIS Office by the end of the day Friday, November 9th. Suggested Map Guidelines:

  • Include a Title or descriptive information
  • Include Name & Department
  • Appropriate use of cartographic elements (legend, scale, north arrow, index maps, etc.)
