September holidays DEI

We invite you to explore some of the holidays, heritage, and celebrations observed throughout the month of September, such as:

Hispanic Heritage Month occurs from September 15 to October 15. This heritage month corresponds with Mexican Independence Day which is also celebrated on September 16, and recognizes the revolution in 1810 that ended Spanish dictatorship.

Yom Kippur is September 24-25 sundown to sundown. This is a day of atonement marked by fasting and ceremonial repentance known as the holiest day on the Jewish calendar.

As you explore, we encourage you to find unique ways to recognize the rich histories, cultures, and traditions behind these occasions while honoring your own. For an extensive listing of holidays and celebrations, please visit the Holidays & Celebrations SharePoint Page.
